Bio: First thing everyone should know is that I'm a bit of a cynic and a huge smartass...if you can get past that, we'll get along just fine. My interests are fairly eclectic...I'm not sure where to start. I love movies...horror movies in particular. I've been told I should be a film critic, something I'm seriously considering. Horror movies are my biggest passion, from the silents to the Universal classics all the way up until today. Apart from that, I love a lot of movies from the "Golden Age of Hollywood" (I watch a LOT of Turner Classic Movies), more recent indie stuff (Larry Clark, Todd Solondz, Harmony Korine, Kevin Smith's first three flicks) film noir, cheesy 80's movies, mindless action films (Arnie, Sly, but most of all Die Hard), the collected work of Mel Brooks, lots of old slapstick (Stooges, Abbott and Costello) all four Monty Python films, and way too many more to mention... I like to read quite a bit, but I don't have as much time for it as I used to. I still try to check out everything Stephen King puts out, other than that fiction and classical literature (LOVE Shakespeare), which used to be my standard material, has taken a back seat recently to true crime, though I've lately revisited some of my favorite authors (Michael Slade, Peter Straub) and I think I'm gonna check out some of their newer stuff. My musical tastes run the gamut...rock, jazz, blues, country, metal, classical...virtually every style and genre has something worthwhile in my opinion. As far as favorites go, I love Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and the Rolling Stones. I'm originally from Chicago, so I'm a big fan of the Cubs, the Bears and the Bulls. I'm not really looking for anything in particular other than a chance to meet new people...if we can develop a rapport, let's see where it goes.
